Forming a District Group Checklist
- Library board needs to determine what it wants district committee to accomplish
- Board member should volunteer to serve on district committee
- Identify potential committee members
- Educate committee about what is expected of them and the work load that will be required. If desired ask Montana State Library staff to provide training for committee members
- Keep the city informed about the district process. If possible ask a city council member to serve on the district committee
- Keep the county clerk and commissioners informed
- Ask the clerk what concerns they might have about the process and then attempt to address those concerns
