Statewide Library Resources Division
The Statewide Library Resources Division of the Montana State Library includes Library Development and the Montana Talking Book Library. The Division receives funding each year from the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant program administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), a federal agency. These monies enable the State Library to fund the services and staff of the Talking Book Library and Library Development.
Network Advisory Council
The State Library Network Advisory Council (NAC), representing all types of libraries, assists in recommending LSTA funding for Library Development statewide pilots, projects and programs. These efforts focus on expanding resources and access, demonstrating innovative ways to advance libraries and librarianship, and fulfilling the information needs of all Montana’s citizens.
